What are the sleeping configurations in the bedrooms?

Accepted Answer

There are three bedrooms:
A master bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom.
A queen sized bedroom (shared bath/shower).
A bedroom with 2 twin beds- great for kids or friends  (shared bath/shower).
So a total of 6 people can sleep at this property. There is not a convertible sleep sofa in the living area.

Is there off-street parking?

Accepted Answer

We are located on a quiet cul-de-sac fronting the lake. You can park in the double car garage or the driveway of the house.

Can I bring a Pet?

Accepted Answer

Whilst we do love dogs and cats, we do not allow pets at La Petit Maison, unless they are a service dog. Emotional support pets are not exempted. So many guests have allergies now that we are trying to maintain a hypoallergenic  home. We hope that you understand.

Question 4

Is my booking refundable?

Accepted Answer

We take a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Then the balance becomes due within 30 days of your arrival (You will receive an email reminder about this.)

If however, your plans change and you have to cancel a Guest receives 100% (less cancellation fee- $40) if cancellation occurs more than 14 days before arrival; Guest receives 50% (less cancellation fee-$40) if cancellation occurs more than 7 days before arrival; No refunds within 7 days of arrival.

If you think that you may need to cancel please give us as much notice as possible. We appreciate you communicating.

Can we walk to downtown restaurants, shops and parks?

Yes! We are conveniently located just a few blocks from Menominee Park (https://www.visitoshkosh.com/things-to-do/sports-outdoors/menominee-park/)with its free zoo and many walking trails. 
Downtown is walkable and is family friendly. There are supper clubs, waterfront dining, breweries, wineries, chocolate shops , outlet shops and drive-ins giving visitors the opportunity to satisfy any palate. If you are looking for a fun night out to accompany a great dinner, you’ll find live music almost every night of the week in downtown Oshkosh. Uber /Lyft services are also available to get home.

What is the nearest airport to Oshkosh?

Accepted Answer

The nearest commercial airport to Oshkosh is Appleton (ATW) Airport which is 16.4 miles away. Other nearby airports include Green Bay (GRB) (38.5 miles), Madison (MSN) (73.8 miles), Wausau/Marshfield (CWA) (77 miles) and Milwaukee (MKE) (81.5 miles).
The Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh is perfect for private planes and is the host site of the annual EAA AirVenture Fly-In.

Question 7

How do we rent a boat?

We as house owners have two boats that we keep at the nearby Marina. If you would like to rent a boat for cruising - the pontoon boat is perfect. For fishing,  the motor boat  is the one- then we can arrange a rate for you depending on the length of your stay and how much you plan on using the boat(s).

Boating is by arrangement and a separate insurance policy will be required and a liability waiver must be signed. All passengers must wear life vests, which can be provided.

There are also water activity rental companies nearby for paddle boards, Kayaking etc. We can provide you with the information.

Question 8

Is the house suitable for a family?

La Petit Maison is a perfect spot for families- located on a quiet street bordering the lake- there is lake fun, a lawn for running around,  dock fishing and ample space for down time. There is a nearby park with tennis courts and the larger Menominee Park has a zoo, running/walking trails and facilities for renting SUP boards and kayaks. Downtown  has lots of family friendly restaurants and activities too. The aviation museum (https://www.eaa.org/eaa-museum)is also a fun trip for families.

Since we are located near the water we ask:

• Adult guest(s) must take responsibility for and supervise children at all times around the water.
 • We accept no responsibility for the safety of children guests.
